Federman & Sherwood Investigates Umpqua Bank for Data Breach

The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Umpqua Bank with respect to their recent data breach. On August 11, 2023, Umpqua Bank notified individuals that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. The breach was discovered on June 21, 2023. According to Umpqua Bank, they determined that information moved through file transfer tool, MOVEit Transfer may have been subject to unauthorized access between May 27, 2023 and May 31, 2023. Umpqua Bank determined that the information exposed in the data breach includes: name and Social Security number.
