The agreement establishes a formal framework for the two companies to jointly pursue microgrid, distributed-energy, and related infrastructure opportunities.
Under the agreement, Eddy will refer projects requiring electrical engineering, power-system studies, controls and automation, system integration, testing, and commissioning services to SMAART POWER, expanding the engineering and implementation support available to customers evaluating or deploying the Eddy System. In turn, SMAART POWER will introduce qualified microgrid and distributed-energy opportunities from its customer and industry relationships to Eddy, creating a reciprocal channel for business development and joint project pursuit. Eddy will contribute its patented hybrid microgrid technology, including in-pipe hydrokinetic generation that can be integrated with solar, wind, and battery energy storage, while SMAART POWER will provide the engineering, controls, integration, testing, and commissioning expertise required to support project development and implementation. As a Certified ETAP Solution Provider & Integrator, SMAART POWER can also deploy and integrate ETAP's patented digital-twin and real-time power-system technologies across applications such as Power System Monitoring & Simulation (PSMS), Energy Management System (EMS), SCADA, real-time power management, and microgrid control, where appropriate. The Eddy System is made available through 5- to 10-year lease programs arranged through commercial lending partners, providing facilities with a predictable path to manage electricity costs and strengthen resilience against grid disruptions.

The teaming relationship is intended to expand both companies' ability to pursue and deliver projects across municipal water and wastewater facilities, industrial plants, government and defense installations, airports, data centers, and other energy-intensive or mission-critical facilities. Depending on project requirements, solutions may combine distributed generation, battery energy storage, controls, monitoring, and intelligent power management to improve energy resilience, operational visibility, and integration of distributed-energy resources.
