Fans of adventure books will be thrilled to find Jim Hawk's book at the NYLA 2022 Annual Conference and Trade Show, which will happen on November 3-4, 2022, in Saratoga Springs, New York. Jim Hawk's “And I Wanted To Be A Boat Bum” is one of the best action/religious books that will be displayed at this year's NYLA.

The riveting book “And I Wanted To Be A Boat Bum” follows the story of an ex-Green Beret and ex-police officer named Gore Lyle. Hawk describes the character as someone with a daunting physique and immeasurable wealth. Gore Lyle is six foot two inches and a lean two hundred pounds. During his service as a Green Beret, Lyle is known for his ruthless ways. He has killed many people and only stopped when he found God's salvation. Despite his will to change for good, he cannot hide the old Gore, who has acquired his wealth from a dangerous mob boss.

Guided by his new path as a devout Christian, Gore Lyle became a family man and a member of SPUTF (Special Undercover Terrorism Force). Everything seems normal, yet darkness seems to follow Lyle wherever he goes. After losing his family in an untoward accident, he tried to become a boat bum, but God has better plans for him.

How can one man's Christianity save him for inevitable loss? Can God change a man's fate when all else feels lost and irreparable? Readers will find awe-inspiring and thrilling answers to these questions with an extra dose of corny humor!

“And I Wanted To Be A Boat Bum” is not an ordinary adventure/religion book. It is a story of life, faith, and love restored. Using an unlikely central character, Jim Hawk skillfully depicts God's glory in his fictional masterpiece.

ReadersMagnet will display Jim Hawk's “And I Wanted To Be A Boat Bum” on November 3-4, 2022, at its exhibit booth for the NYLA 2022 Annual Conference and Trade Show. Copies of the book are available on Amazon.
