HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 officially concluded its landmark two-day event at the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, drawing 5,300 industry professionals, featuring nearly 100 exhibition booths, and showcasing a technology ecosystem valued at approximately VND 52 billion. Jointly organized by the HORECFEX Organizing Committee and the Vietnam Hotel Association, the forum served as a major convergence point for Vietnam's hospitality, food service, and tourism sectors as they navigate rapid digital and operational transformations.

Operating under the central theme "ALL YOU NEED - Knowledge, Technology, Supply and Networking," the conference went beyond traditional trade shows by functioning as a comprehensive ecosystem designed to connect operational challenges with immediate commercial solutions.

During the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Hotel Association officially recognized HORECFEX Vietnam as "Vietnam's largest annual forum on technology applications in the HORECA industry," solidifying its role as a permanent annual meeting point for the regional tourism community.

Integrating Technology and Artificial Intelligence into Operations

Across more than 40 expert-led sessions, industry leaders addressed practical challenges surrounding artificial intelligence, automation, smart-room management, facial recognition, and robotics. Rather than treating technology as a novelty, discussions focused on driving successful integration to solve labor shortages, optimize energy management, and personalize guest experiences.

"Digital transformation is not only about changing how businesses manage or operate-it can also create entirely new tourism products and experiences, giving visitors more reasons to stay longer, explore further, and spend more at the destination," the organizers noted during the proceedings.

Destination Storytelling and Green Development Standards

The forum demonstrated how technology can directly enhance cultural storytelling. A standout highlight was the 3D Projection Mapping performance titled "Touching the Livable City" on the convention center's facade. Utilizing a high-brightness Epson laser projection system valued at approximately VND 10 billion, the visual experience brought Vietnamese culture and heritage to life through light, sound, and spatial design.

Simultaneously, the event marked a major transition toward sustainable tourism with the official launch of the Da Nang Green Stay Criteria. Under the message "Green Practices - Elevating the Destination," the framework provides practical operational standards to help accommodation providers implement energy-efficient systems and reduce environmental impact.

Fostering B2B Connections and Industry Competitiveness

The nearly 100 exhibition booths and B2B exchange spaces connected hotel operators, investors, and resort developers directly with equipment, housekeeping, F&B, interior design, and software suppliers. By providing live demonstrations and startup pitching sessions, the forum accelerated pilot projects and long-term partnerships aimed at boosting Vietnam's overall destination competitiveness.

Hosted within the Furama - Ariyana International Tourism Complex, HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 underscored Da Nang's position as a premier regional hub for MICE events, technological innovation, and sustainable tourism development.
