KAMPALA CAPITAL, S.A.P.I. DE C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R., (“Kampala”), a non-bank financial institution headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico helping Mexican small businesses access short term cross-currency financing, today announced the extension and upsize of a warehouse facility with private funds managed by O’Connor Capital Solutions (“OCS”) providing up to $80 million of financing to fund loans originated by Kampala.

The partnership expands Kampala’s access to institutional capital and prepares it for its next stage of growth after significant portfolio growth and strong performance in 2026. The new commitment comes during a period of growth for Kampala, as its clients increasingly rely on institutional capital-backed lenders to deliver their short-term working capital needs. With closing, Kampala expects to be able to grow its portfolio to >$100 million over the next few years.

“This expanded commitment from O’Connor Capital Solutions is a strong validation of our business model, the quality of our portfolio, and the dedication of our team. We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with OCS, whose ongoing support has been instrumental in Kampala’s growth. This increased facility enhances our access to institutional capital and positions us to accelerate portfolio expansion while preserving our disciplined approach to credit selection, risk management, and operational execution. We believe this partnership creates a strong foundation for Kampala’s continued growth in the years ahead,” said Adalberto Espinosa, CEO and co-founder of Kampala.

“We have experienced a successful 5+ year relationship with Adalberto, Armando, and the rest of the Kampala team and are excited to continue the partnership,” said Joshua Mercado, Managing Director and head of asset-based finance at OCS. “The team at Kampala has grown the portfolio significantly while maintaining high credit standards and processes, and we’re excited to be a part of the continued growth of the business. Specialty finance and lender finance remains one of our core strategies, and we look forward to continuing to partner with Kampala and our other portfolio companies, executing on our flexible and global mandate.”
