Tredegar Corporation (NYSE: TG) today announced that Dr. Susan Sweeney will join the company as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective June 1, 2026. Dr. Sweeney will report directly to the CEO.

Dr. Sweeney joins Tredegar from Virginia Transformer Corporation, where she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Her career began at General Motors as Director of Operations, followed by leadership roles at GGB Bearing Technology, where she served as Vice President of Global Operations and later President with full P&L responsibility. She subsequently held dual President and CHRO roles and later served as CHRO at EnPro Industries before joining Virginia Transformer. In addition to her executive career, Dr. Sweeney serves on the Board of Directors of Miller Industries and is an adjunct instructor at Wilmington University.

Dr. Sweeney holds a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University, an MBA from the University of Detroit, and a BA in Economics from Kalamazoo College.
