NICOSIA, Cyprus - Emotional Capital for the Triple Win, by Elena V. Amber, has been awarded a Silver Medal in the Independent Thought Leadership category at the Axiom Business Book Awards.
Established in 2007 by the Jenkins Group, the Axiom Business Book Awards recognise excellence in business publishing, honouring books that contribute to professional development and advance thinking across disciplines. The awards span more than 20 categories, including leadership, innovation, and economics, and are open to both traditionally and independently published works.
Published in July 2025 by Practical Inspiration Publishing, Emotional Capital for the Triple Win explores the behavioural and emotional drivers underlying modern consumption patterns. Drawing on interdisciplinary research across ecological economics and behavioural science, the book examines why consumption continues to exceed ecological limits despite rising awareness of environmental risks.
Amber, affiliated with the University of Nicosia and an alumna of Warwick Business School, examines the intersection of economic systems and human behaviour, with a particular focus on the psychological forces shaping market outcomes.
“We will never escape ecological collapse if markets keep monetising human vulnerabilities. This award signals that open conversation about that is gaining traction — and that it resonates beyond a single voice. Thank you to the Axiom Book Awards for seeing this work,” said Amber.
The recognition highlights growing interest in the role of behavioural and emotional factors in economic systems, particularly in the context of sustainability and long-term societal resilience.
