Total Assets Under Management Are Now Approximately $150 million with 17 Portfolio Companies and Two Successful Exits
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 2, 2026 / AIF, a pioneering venture capital fund for autism, behavioral health and mental health conditions, has reached the first close of its second fund (Fund II), which will invest in solutions related to autism, behavioral health, mental health and related conditions. Launched in 2021, AIF now has approximately $150 million in assets under management with 17 portfolio companies and two successful exits from Fund I.
Since its founding, AIF has established itself as the investment and innovation arm of the autism community and through Fund II, the firm is expanding its investing into related conditions that are adjacent to autism.
"We have demonstrated that autism and behavioral health are large and viable investment spaces, where deploying growth capital can deliver market returns and measurable impact at scale, " said Chris Male, AIF's Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner. "While public-private partnership is critical to address the complexity of these issues, the private sector must lead the way by putting capital to work," added Mr. Male.
Autism, behavioral health and mental health conditions affect 1 in 4 individuals, and represent an investable market of more than $1 trillion in the U.S. alone. AIF's investment strategy combines delivering market returns through an impact investing model. AIF's existing portfolio includes investments in data and tech-enabled services, innovative service models, as well as life sciences companies.
