Money20/20 USA 2025 Closes With a Future-Ready Fintech Ecosystem: AI, Stablecoins, and Infrastructure Take the Lead

Money20/20, the world’s leading fintech show and the place where money does business, has wrapped another record-breaking edition in Las Vegas. Over four transformative days, 11,000+ attendees from 85 countries came together under this year’s bold theme: “Create the Future.”

Money20/20 USA 2025 marked fintech's turning point—from exploration to execution. Featuring more than 630 speakers across more than 300 sessions, discussions centered on how AI, infrastructure, open finance, stablecoins, and real-time payments are actively reshaping the financial landscape.

“Money20/20 USA 2025 reflected an industry ready to lead, not follow,” said Tracey Davies, Global President of Money20/20. “The conversations in Las Vegas showed that innovation in fintech has shifted from concept to impact. The partnerships, launches, and ideas sparked here are setting the pace for the global financial future.”

AI Moves from Hype to Core Infrastructure

The key themes at Money20/20 USA this week were dominated by AI, as leaders from Anthropic, Mastercard, and Google Cloud shared how machine intelligence is driving advances in fraud detection, underwriting, and customer experience—cementing AI as finance’s new foundation.

Stablecoins and the Infrastructure Revolution

Circle, Citi, and Bitcoin pioneer Michael Saylor led conversations around stablecoins, tokenization, and open finance, signaling the next chapter in building a more resilient financial infrastructure.

Global Institutions Enter into Digital Assets

More news than ever broke across Money 20/20 stages, including a major announcement from Western Union and their plans to launch the U.S. Dollar Payment Token (USDPT), its new stablecoin, in the first half of 2026. This move into the digital asset space will leverage the Solana blockchain and partner with Anchorage Digital Bank for stablecoin issuance and digital asset network development.

Strategic Partnerships and Startup Success

  • PayPal and Google Cloud announced a partnership that will bring agentic shopping experiences to life with a new offering that combines Google Cloud’s Conversational Commerce agent with payments powered by PayPal.
  • Checkout.com is teaming up with Uber to provide global acquiring and gateway services across multiple markets globally, handling millions of daily transactions.
  • Virtue AI was named as the winner of the Money20/20 Startup Pitch Competition.

The Global Payments Race Accelerates

Executives from Ripple, Bank of America, and Thunes spotlighted how real-time and cross-border payments are powering global financial inclusion and competitiveness.

The Inaugural Money Awards Celebrate Innovation

The show also debuted the inaugural Money Awards, held during Sunday Night Live x The Money Awards, honoring innovators redefining payments, banking, and fintech partnerships. Winners were selected by a global jury of industry pioneers, marking a new annual celebration of excellence across the fintech ecosystem.

Project Nemo secured the highest honor, the Diamond Grand Prix Award, for their transformative approach to disability inclusion in FinTech, and Fiserv was also honored with a Diamond Award for their work in democratizing stablecoin access.
