Galux is one of nine Korean companies included on this year’s list, and the only Korean company selected in the Biotechnology & Healthcare category.

Forbes highlighted Galux’s proprietary AI protein design technology and its growing network of partnerships, including collaborations with global pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca and Boehringer Ingelheim. It also noted the company’s fundraising track record, having raised $47 million to date, including its Series B financing earlier this year.

At the core of Galux’s work is GaluxDesign, the company’s proprietary AI platform for designing novel antibodies and therapeutic proteins. The platform combines AI with physical principles of protein folding and molecular interactions to generate new protein structures and sequences from scratch, with desired functional properties.

Building on this technology, Galux is collaborating with a range of pharmaceutical partners in Korea and globally to further demonstrate the platform’s potential and expand its application across therapeutic programs. In parallel, the company is advancing its internal pipeline of differentiated protein therapeutics, including a PD-1/IL-18v immunocytokine designed with GaluxDesign. The program was presented at AACR 2026, reflecting Galux’s broader effort to translate novel protein designs into innovative therapeutic candidates.

“Being named to Forbes Asia 100 to Watch is meaningful recognition of both the technology we have built and the progress we have made in demonstrating its potential,” said Taeyong Park, CEO of Galux. “We will continue to turn that potential into tangible results, and grow into a global biotech that expands what is possible in the development of innovative therapeutics.”
