About Gary Fredericks
Gary Fredericks began his career on Wall Street at E.F. Hutton & Co., where he led the development of the broker’s TEFRA Department. He later joined Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. (now part of JPMorgan Chase) and quickly rose to become one of the bank’s top 5% performers out of more than 17,000 employees worldwide.
At J.P. Morgan, Gary played a key role in relocating several business units from New York City to Delaware. Known for his ability to lead strategic turnarounds, he was frequently assigned to underperforming areas within the bank, where he consistently improved performance and outcomes.
After two decades in institutional, private, and investment banking, Gary transitioned into higher education and nonprofit leadership. He served as an Administrator and adjunct faculty member at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and later as President and CEO of Innovative Schools Development Corporation, a nonprofit supporting charter and innovative schools across Delaware.
In 1998, Gary collaborated with a group of parents to help launch Newark Charter School. He later joined the school’s board as Chairman, where he led efforts to secure financing, design, and construct the school’s permanent facilities, overseeing two buildings totaling more than 143,000 square feet. Thanks to his leadership, the projects were completed on time and under budget.
Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television-Film from Temple University and resides in Newark, Delaware. He is the proud father of two sons and has long been active in the community. His past service includes roles as an officer with Delaware United Football Club, finance committee member at the Charter School of Wilmington, and Vice President of the Wilmington Police Athletic League. A passionate music enthusiast, Gary also performs part-time in New Jersey clubs alongside his brother.
