The partners' comprehensive programming will offer regenerative perspectives of Possible Futures co-developed with indigenous wisdom to establish a human-environmental symbiosis
SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt - Nov. 10, 2022 - PRLog -- Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt — Impact One, Therme Group and the One Health Research Centre (OHRC) present innovative outlooks on Possible Futures during the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh from 7-18 November.
The partners are hosting their curated programme in the official COP27 Blue Zone and other key hubs in Sharm El-Sheikh, to include panel discussions, presentations and participatory activations. Possible Futures will invite distinguished experts from the fields of science, urban planning, architecture, representatives of indigenous culture and environmental engineering to critique and respond to prevalent models of expansion in large-scale construction and infrastructure industries.
Possible Futures seeks to address the endangerment of our planet and propose alternative models for the co-creation of futures built on symbiosis, and encourage bearers of significant and quantifiable levels of environmental and social responsibility, to become active custodians of natural ecosystems through improved policies and guidelines.
The programme seeks to evaluate what equitable co-creation with indigenous communities implies, in dialogue with leaders of the Yawanawa community from Brasil, representatives of the Kichwa people of Sarayaku, from Ecuador, and many more. Representatives from Amazonic indigenous communities will host a platform at Possible Futures to impart further knowledge on human-environmental interconnection and symbiotic modes of living.
